Safety brakes FMP 050-058

It is a specific range of brakes for small motors (permanent magnet, brushless and stepper motors), suitable for multiple applications needing motor braking and guaranteed locking. The brake is composed by 3 components, coil housing, disc brake and coupling hub between the motor shaft and the disc brake. The working way is easy, by the effect of the spring pressure on the anchor the braking torque is generated, they are negative safety brakes, in the absence of current the brake is blocked.

These brakes are used on welding robots, automatic mechanical arms, axes control for pantographs and in automation.

It is possible to release the brake even in the event of an emergency or power failure by using a handle release.
