Safety brakes IP65

The IP series safety brakes are brakes with IP65 and IP66 degree of protection, they are suitable for applications in particularly humid environments, on machines that for specific working needs require frequent washing.

The brake has 4 components: the coil housing, the brake disc, coupling hub between shaft and brake disc, O ring seal.

The operating principle is simple, thanks to the effect of the spring pressure on the anchor the braking torque is generated. In the absence of current the brake is blocked, the sealing O-ring when pressed due to the tightening of the fixing screws on the motor or on a flange it seals everything avoiding the intrusion of dust and water.
